Meet our founder

Barbara Brock has always had a passion for organization at her core. After a background of Interior Design In the 1990’s, she transitioned into Professional Organizing in 2001 and founded the company A Proper Place, which focused on professional organizing. During this time, she developed innovative products centered on organization, including an early addressing and note-taking system—an invention that preceded the Palm Pilot and was ultimately sold to the At-A-Glance company.

Organized travel system!

I love my Beauty & the Box makeup and travel system!  Since my husband is a retired airline captain, we enjoy lots of travel opportunities.  Having my makeup organized for travel, as well as neat and tidy while we are at our destination makes everything easier.  Not only am I ready to catch a plane with ease, but also the bathroom counter at our hotel is organized and clean during our stay.  I feel that I am a better houseguest when visiting friends and family, too!  Thank you for this terrific tool!
